Our mother, Gloria Dixon, as a single mom of three children, faced several challenges to finance and complete her nurse practitioner training. Mother always stressed the importance of higher education. Since mom's desire was that flowers not be sent, we thought it would please her that in lieu of flowers, we establish a scholarship fund for a student in need.
