Plamondon Flood Recovery 10-15-15

On Oct 15th 2015  our home was hit by a flash flood and mud flow that wiped out not only our home but all the homes in our court.  We lost our home and both our cars.  We lost our home based craft business,  Our income comes from  our social security and the money we have saved for our retirement.   We are having to use the money we had saved our whole lives to pay for the repairs.  

 Our insurance does not cover any of the recovery costs, since like most home owners we had water damage coverage (like if a pipe broke or the roof leaked), but no coverage for a flood because we are not in a flood plain. No one expected the sudden downpour or the mud that followed. We have never needed to ask for help before but now we do.  

We are so grateful to everyone who has pitched in to help, The Red Cross, the Salvation Army, church groups, the city of Lancaster, friends and neighbors, and strangers who just showed up with  a shovel to help.  We are  asking those of you who are able to help us to please contribute now to cover our living expenses for the next several months until we can get back into our house.
We are not asking for help with repairs or rebuilding, we just need a little help to get through this tragedy .  Any funds that we don't need we intend to contribute back to the local organizations that have been there for us this past week.
