Stand for Justice: Honor GM Victims
Donation protected
My name is Laura Christian. I am the birth mother of Amber Marie Rose. I became an auto safety advocate after Amber died because of a deadly defect General Motors (GM) concealed for a decade. She was not alone. To date, we have confirmed that over 170 people - daughters, sons, wives, husbands, mothers and fathers - died because auto manufacturers play fast and loose with auto safety. GM is not the only manufacturer to do so.
I created a non-profit, GM Recall Survivors Inc., to
raise awareness about auto safety and demand that federal and state legislators enforce and create laws to better protect consumers. We just had our first legislative victory in Maryland and hope to have many more.
To accomplish our goals, our organization is planning to place a billboard in Detroit – GM’s own backyard, to remind GM executives of the tragic lives that were lost because of GM's cover-ups. We are also organizing a protest in Washington (Stand for Justice) this fall to demand accountability in the auto industry.
Funds raised through this effort will be used to pay for our billboard and cover the many expenses surrounding our Stand for Justice such as permitting, materials, advertisements, etc.
No family should ever have to feel the unbearable pain of losing a loved one to a defective car. Please consider donating today. Any amount is greatly appreciated. GM Recall needs your support!
For more information abut our organization, please visit our Facebook page, or our GM Recall Survivors website and see the petition that helped give Maryland one of the strongest auto disclosure laws in the country.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart,
Laura Christian
