Save the Guzman Family
Friends and Family on February 23, 2017 I was involved in a accident at Clinton's Ditch Co-op Pepsi. Another forklift driver blew through an intersection without stopping as he cut the corner and drove into my lane as I was turning right. To avoid a head on collision I swerved and sped up only to crash into a pole.
I sustained neck shoulder ,upper and lower back, side, leg and knee injury. I've been dealing with constant pain on an hourly and daily basis. I'm going to Doctors and specialist everyday with no success in lessening the pain or locating the cause on the pain if it being muscular or nerve damage.
The insurance company that covers my employer is giving me the run around and not paying me workers comp...and even if they did the money would not cover all my family's expenses for our infant son, our oldest son who is autistic, and just monthly bills/food/rent. We have received an eviction notice and are at our wits end trying to make ends meet plus put food on our table though we have not income as i am our families only source of income as my wife takes care of me daily while taking care of our infant son. We have borrowed from the banks, close family and friends and though their help is greatly appreciated we are far from being ok.
To add on top of the stress of all of this my employers safety supervisor has omitted information about this accident and about his role in failing to prevent this accident by taking away the other drivers driving privileges and stopping him from causing an accident in the first place.
Our target goal of $10,000. is what we'll need to support us for a year along with the workers compensation payments and the food we receive from local food pantries.
If we don't get the support we need we'll get evicted, lose use of our vehicles, and eventually lose this case because I won't be able to get to the doctors appointments.
So please...please...please donate if you can..it doesn't matter if it's .25 or a dollar it all adds up.
Please accept my family's deepest appreciation. My wife Erica, our two boys and I thank you for taking the to read this and helping. Spread the word if you can.
Thank you again,
The Guzman Family
