Help Mary Beat Cancer

*Update 7/31/24 *
Our mom has powered through 8 rounds of chemotherapy, surgery to have a colostomy bag placed, followed by six weeks of radiotherapy combined with chemotherapy. Recently, we have received the news that her tumor remains very large and has invaded other areas in her pelvis. Even with this news, our mom bravely went straight to her doctors and asked what could be done next. Her doctors will begin a different form of chemotherapy within a few days to control and reduce the cancer as much as possible before making plans for surgery in a month. Even after surgery she will have a long road to recovery. Although this time has been extremely difficult; the doctors, our mom, and her family and friends have faith that with her strength and determination she will beat this cancer. Thank you for checking in, sending your love, and being so supportive. There truly is power in prayer and sending positive energy. We are so thankful
Hi! My name is Taylor. My sister Jordan and I are fundraising for our mom, Mary, who is currently fighting stage 3 colon cancer. Our mom was diagnosed with cancer in the beginning of November 2023 after a long stretch of seeing many different doctors trying to get to the root of her symptoms. Thankfully, we were able to get a diagnosis just in time to avoid further complications. Prior to these symptoms, our mom was a happy and active person. Actually getting more and more active in her community and her work life over the years!
Our mom’s treatment is a combination of chemotherapy and radiation. This treatment will most likely be completed with a surgery by July of 2024. We are so thankful to have amazing friends, family, and wonderful doctors through Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Manhattan and in Harrison, NY. We are sticking together as a family and leaning on one another to get through this. While we know we can get through this treatment and help my mom beat cancer as a family, the expenses are far out of our bounds. If you are able, we are asking for donations to help her beat cancer. Our mom has always been a generous person, a care taker, and a shoulder to lean on for anyone who may need it. We believe she deserves all of the support she can get. Our mom is a strong woman, mother, and fighter. We have so much faith she will get through this.
Thank you for your support, prayers, and love during this time.
With love from proud daughters,
Taylor and Jordan
