New building fund
A chapel was built in 1882 to provide a space for the people of Estover to worship God. We bought this chapel in 1984 and over the last 40 years, through God's grace and provision, we expanded the site in 1996 to accommodate a larger building, and again in 1999.
Continuing to grow as a Church, we believe God is calling us to step out in faith once again; giving us a vision for a new larger premises and we invite you to sow into this vision as we look to God to provide the £100,000 needed to build it. So far the Lord has miraculously provided over £50,000 in the past 4 months!
North Plymouth Community Church started in an old baptist building in 1984, after months of hard work of refurbishment. We borrowed numerous places of worship for our services while the purchased building, dated 1882, was being made ready for proper use. This building was purchased with a small mortgage, but through God’s gracious blessing the church saw this mortgage paid back in full within a number of short years.
We soon outgrew the building and for a few years we met in the local comprehensive school, as the need for a bigger venue arose. God’s grace upon us allowed us to have the favour of the authorities and the necessary finances to start the work of the new building on our land. InDecember, 1996, we held an opening ceremony for the new church building which served us for a couple of years until we realised that we needed to think about how to accommodate the growth of the church. So the building received a significant extension in 1999.
Six years later it became evident that God wanted us to think bigger again. Various prophetic words have confirmed what the Lord has already put in the heart of our senior leader, Rev. Rob Clift. Since then we have known many times of testing come our way because of that word, but God has continually been good and faithful to us. He has miraculously provided the money needed to buy the piece of land behind our building. After battling for two years for planning permission, we were finally granted it in 2009.
This year our senior pastor was in our mid week prayer meeting and audibly heard God tell him that we were to build a new single story building to be a place of worship. Roll back to 2007 and our beloved pastor Samuel Nebot received a prophecy from the Lord before he went to be in his presence in 2021. In the prophecy the Lord said that “finances will flow both from the “mouth of the fish”(Matthew 17:24)We believe that this means that once again the Lord will provide the finances for us to complete this new building 100% debt free!
God has so far provided us through his grace with over two thirds of the money needed and we know that once He starts a good work He will see it through to completion (Philippians 1:6).
We believe that God will provide the rest of the money and I am asking that you would pray into a decision to sow into this vision and support us in building His kingdom here on earth. You can read more about who we are and what believe on our website.
