Tuesday, October 3rd update!

Sunday Amy has started regaining consciousness after all sedation was stopped.

She was able to follow limited commands like "squeeze my hand", "open your eyes"

Yesterday Amy made good progress, more alert, able to follow all instructions bucking the ventilator.

Hopefully today the medical staff will be able to wean Amy off the ventilator and remove her breathing tube.

Amy is making good progress and the power of prayer is working.

Wednesday update!

More good news! Mike just called with an update

Her brain swelling is WAY down!!! Still not responding to voice commands but her brain is still healing.

Her vitals are stable and the ENT doc said if this continues he’ll probably do surgery next week and on face and sinus fractures

They lessened the sedation and she was trying to sit up in bed-crazy girl! But that means her purposeful movements are great!

He sounded very positive!

Keep sending good vibes and prayers. They are working.

Sweet Amy Wood was in a horrible accident this weekend. She is currently in ICU and needs not only our prayers, thoughts, love and support, but will need some $$ help as well. We all know how expensive care is these days, so we're hoping there are some people out there who are able to help Amy and her family through this long road to recovery.

Amy is known best for her explosive personality, beautiful smile, and huge heart all over Pensacola Beach! She brings so much energy and laughter everywhere she goes.

If you'd like, cards can currently be dropped off at Sacred Heart in Pensacola. Her family is with her and they are already feeling the love from all of Amy's friends.

I'm a co-worker of Amy's and am assisting her family with this fundraiser. All funds will be donated to a charity account set up for Amy's medical bills.
