Go Fund Mighty Warriorz School: Save at-risk Kids

"Champ" Hauley Tillman is a father of two and a martial artist from Miami. He started Martial Arts around the age 16 when he became homeless. A member of the Miami-Dade Schools Policy Department and an expert in Martial Arts took Champ under his wings and trained him. Now Champ is 35 and a black belt in Karate, Krav Maga, Judo, Jiu-jitsu and Kung Fu with certificates and credentials for all of them.

Champ always wanted to give back to his community but it became his sole mission after getting stabbed through his abdominal muscle and live eight years ago. When he woke up, he knew God gave him a second chance and he really saw his life purpose being to help kids from his neighborhood learn self reliance and discipline to succeed in life.

In 2022 Champ relied on his martial arts skills and won the Pillow Fight Championship (PFC). With the $5,000 PFC award, he opened a martial arts school in Liberty City – right where he was raised and one of the most dangerous neighborhoods in Miami. Kids in this neighborhood don’t have chances like other kids do. Champ teaches 60+ students including kids and adults. His youngest student is 3 (little Joshua) and his oldest student is 62 (Ms. Brenda). Parents give what they can. Champ works with single moms, single dads, kids whose parents are deceased, kids with autism or ADHD. He had a book bag giveaway before the summer ended this year. He feeds them every Thursday. He does all of these himself, with very little help.

He loves all the kids and teaches them boxing, karate and jiu-jitsu. More importantly, he focuses on the bigger things like self-confidence, discipline and leadership skills. The kids come out from these little holes in the wall and are rising and becoming great fighters. They work extremely hard and destroy every tournament they enter. Their grades are becoming better. Their self-esteem level is rising. They are making better life decisions.

Unfortunately due to lack of funding the school will be forced to close in October 2023. I was the Miami-Dade Schools Police Officer and martial artist who took Champ in 19 years ago. I’m starting this campaign for Sensei Champ to help him overcome financial challenges so that he can continue serving all the kids in the school by providing physical, mental and spiritual training. Your donation will ensure his kids have a better future. Thank you and God Bless!
