Theek isn't the type of person who will admit when is doing bad, and never asks for help. He consistently shows up with a big heart, rolls up his sleeves, and helps wherever he is needed.
He has always been there for me and my family, so I am making it a point to be there for him right now and let you know the following:
Theek has been suffering from pancreatitis for the last two years. This has caused him to periodically suffer from a low blood cell count and an auto immune deficiency.
As you can imagine, the last five months have held a lot of challenges for Theek. He has had to take extra precautions during the COVID-19 pandemic staying indoors and away from people.
To make matters worse, one of the few times he ventured out of quarantine to feel like a normal human being, he went to his favorite local restaurant, Tank House, and was racial harassed by a random patron who called him derogatory names. This quickly created an outburst of love and support from the greater Sacramento area to call out the individual and let him know: Not in Midtown. Not to Theek. The buzz even caught the eyes of Channel 3 and Channel 10 .
A few weeks later, he collapsed and was rushed to the hospital. Upon arrival, he was told he needed emergency surgery because he had two blood clots in his splenic valve. The doctors told him there was no other way, and it had to be removed ASAP.
The good news is that the surgery went well, and he is in recovery.
However, he still has one more surgery to go. It is slated for the first week of September.
He needs the love and support of the community right now to help him get through this moment in his life.
Please donate whatever you can to help him get through the next 90 days. It will help cover the costs of surgery expenses, vaccines, ER visits, rent, and healthy food to aid him in a speedy recovery.
