An open letter of gratitude to all of you lovely humans in my literal and cosmic village!
My heart is so full. Thank you for pulling, pushing, praying and dragging me across the first leg of this journey. Your love and support have been instrumental in getting me where I am today, which is better than we even dared to dream for. My body and my brain's ability to heal and adapt is nothing short of a miracle. This experience has been a lesson in humility and I will forever be humbled by your collective power to lift us up and feel absolutely treasured.
I am home in the capable and loving care of Sydney, Claudia, and Joshua – along with extra support from my mom, Joanne, my sister, Sara McDaniel, as well as an entire tribe of family and
friends who stop by to offer additional help and food to feed all of these caregivers, and recharge my battery with their positive vibes, smiles, hugs and words of encouragement. Andrew returned to Fort Moore yesterday, so please also keep him in your thoughts, as he continues his journey with the U.S. Army.
Over the past four days of my recovery, we have come to understand that our beautiful home will need some critical updates to make it more accessible for me as I heal, as well as some construction/reconfiguration of spaces to allow my children to be able to care for me long term.
I think our original GoMoFundMe goal will help make these changes attainable, so I am casting a wider net to ask for help if you are in a position to support us in that goal. Please know that I would be remiss to ask for more than you are capable of or comfortable with providing. Although financial support is greatly appreciated, your love means more to me above all else.
I love every single one of you so hard. I will be forever in your debt and it's a debt I feel privileged to pay. You are an amazing human and I am better because of you.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! love mo
