Go Out! The List

Go Out! The List is a newsletter and website dedicated to ferreting out, selecting, and commenting on upcoming performances of a certain vanguard sensibility in the New York area. It is a clearinghouse of notices of and commentary on a type of performance often ignored by general-interest media. It is multi-genre, including music, theater, dance, performance, and opera. It also gives recommendations for places to eat and drink before or after the show — and cocktail recipes to make at home during live streams!

There is no other curated, comprehensive multi-genre source for such information and commentary in New York.

The List is at a turning point. It must become self-sustaining to continue. But to take The List to the next level, where it can begin to sustain itself, I need your help.

What are the next steps? Stepping up advertising of and publicity for The List, to increase distribution. Selling advertising on The List website. Better maintenance of and improvements to some of the website functionalities. Indeed, without a cash influx, the continued existence of The List Website — crucial to The List's mission of spreading word about New York vanguard performance beyond the confines of the existing audience — is imperiled.

These upgrades are necessary for The List to continue operating, providing a service unmet elsewhere to both audiences and members of the New York avant-performance community.
