GO PURPLE 4 ARC!

Hi there! My name is Eimear Kiely. I am a first year Law and Irish Student  in University College Cork. I recently lost my Dad to oesophageal cancer in November 2018. My family were distraught and in complete shock. We didn't know how to move forward without my Dad.  A friend of my mums introduced us to the idea of visiting Cork ARC Cancer Support House on Sarsfield Road. Cork ARC has given us a new lease of life. They have provided us with warmth, comfort and a new extended family in such a friendly relaxed atmosphere! Cork ARC provide services to both Cancer patients and those who have been touched by Cancer. Some of these services include:  drop in and telephone support ,counselling,  art therapy, therapeutic massages, reflexology, acupuncture, yoga, T'ai Chi, mindfulness, diet advice in cancer, bereavement support, to name a few.  Cork ARC  have support houses located in  Sarsfield Road, Bantry and an outreach service in Knocknaheeny. All of Cork ARC’a services are free of charge. They rely on voluntary donations,  fundraising initiatives, corporate sponsorship, grants and legacies to fund their fantastic operations.  In 2018, the cost of delivering these services in Cork Arc was €637,617.   This GoFundMe account will be closed in late April 2020 and all proceeds will be immediately transferred to Cork Arc Support House. Cork ARC is a charity which is very close to my heart. I am in awe of the work that they do and am eternally grateful for all the help and support they have offered and continue to offer my family since my Dad's passing. It is for these reasons that I would be extremely grateful for any donations made to this phenomenal charity.
