JoAnn's Breast Cancer Fund

I'm a hard working single Mom with an incredible 9 year old son and I was diagnosed in June 2014 with breast cancer. On July 23, 2014 I had a double mastectomy to remove the cancer and DEIP FLAP - reconstructive surgery. On the next morning I had a blood clot in the right breast and had a second surgery. I awoke later with an implant in the right side, because my doctor was unable to save my flap. I had lost my breast again. Two weeks later part of the incision opened up in the right breast and was leaking fluid. The next morning August 9, 2014, I was having a third surgery on the right breast - with my implant being replaced due to an infection. I was unable to work for almost two months. I'm better and stronger and it's time to finish what we started. It's now November and I am having my fourth surgery - HIP FLAP to replace the implant in the right breast because I'm having complications with the implant. It's been a long road so far and it's not over yet. My son and I could use some help. Although we have insurance, it doesn't cover everything and it's becoming overwhelming. No one could've have known that I would have to have this many surgeries in such a short time. I want to feel whole again and we want our lives back. So I'm reaching out to friends and family for help. Any support you can offer would be greatly appreciated. And please keep us in your prayers.
