GOAT Fund Me for the Refugee Goat Project
Support Salt Lake City Refugees by contributing to Utah Refugee Goats!
Utah Refugee Goats (URG) is a newly independent charitable organization in Salt Lake City (formerly under the umbrella of the International Rescue Committee, UT) which supports refugees in Utah – primarily the Somali Bajuni, Somali Bantu, and Burundian communities.
The refugee-led organization raises and sells meat goats in order to:
(1) Provide consistent, affordable, and culturally appropriate goat meat to refugee communities
(2) Facilitate opportunities for effective integration AND cultural preservation
(3) Reinvest profits into the refugee community through scholarship funds for youth and life skills trainings for women
Donated funds will directly support the growth of the farm as we work toward self-sustainability, profitability, and community reinvestment!
