Goat Fund Me - Highland Firewise

Highland Firewise needs your help to reduce wildfire risks in Santa Cruz!  Evergreen Cemetery Ravine, a 6.2 acre open forested area adjoining neighborhoods next to Harvey West Park, is at high risk for wildfire. The ravine has decades-long buildup of dried leaves, underbrush, and dead tree limbs that could easily ignite, spreading fire to hundreds of homes and businesses.

Your donation to our Goat Fund Me campaign will allow us to hire a herd of 400 goats to clear the Evergreen Cemetery Ravine. Goats are an efficient, environmentally-friendly way to clear large, steep areas of undergrowth, reduce wildfire risk, and keep people, homes, parks and businesses safe.
