God Catcher at the Edinburgh Fringe

UPDATE:
Hello to all the generous supporters of God Catcher. Thanks to you, we were able to bring our show to life at the incredible Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Working with a stellar local cast and a small but mighty band, we were able to bring Arachne's story to life for the entire 3 weeks.
We are immensely grateful for you and your contributions. The truth is, with a cast of 11 and creative team on top of it, this would have been impossible without our grant funding and supporters like you. We are humbled and honoured to have had your support on our journey.
Below are some press links, if you're interested in reading some of our reviews or reading our interview in Playbill. If you have any other questions about the show, please do not hestiate to get in touch with us. While we will not be accepting any further donations on this platform, we are hoping to develop God Catcher further. Just like Arachne, none of us achieve greatness alone; we are taught, upheld, and urged forward by those who surround and support us. Thank you for being part of our web.
With love and gratitude,
Tyler and Cassie

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi, we're Cassie Muise and Tyler McKinnon, the creators of God Catcher.
We are thrilled our new, original musical has secured a slot at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2023. The show is centred around the Greek myth of Arachne, a weaver of great talent who was vengefully turned into the first spider. Written by two Canadians, and co-produced by Prickly Pear Productions in the UK, this is an incredible opportunity to support female-led and centred work. God Catcher tackles themes like the erasure of the female narrative, toxic power structures, grief and the importance of community.
The funds from this campaign will specifically go towards actor fees. We are committed to paying equity wages to all the artists involved in this run. With a large cast of 10, this is quite a feat! $15,000 is £9,000, which would pay for the rehearsal fees of the actors. Any additional funds raised would go towards musician fees as well as set and costumes.
We are so grateful to have support from the Malta Arts Council and the Canadian Arts Council for things like the festival fee, venue costs, and performance wages. We are asking for your help to cover the rest of the expenses to pay artists ethically with a living wage.
We thank you so much for your support as we journey toward the world premiere of this show!
