God In Action Uganda, Provisions for Orphans Jajas
A message from the kids "Thank you brother Robert for the support you give us." Something they sent me after my first donation. I wanted to show this so people can see that there are real children there that need your help. The orphanage and Bible school is in Bugiri, Uganda, with 52 children as of January 2022, several neighbors, elderly and vulnerable (Jajas), who they also do their best to look after.
A core team of only two, Narswif Tu Kea Muyodi and Mundole Salim. Together they work under the name God In Action Uganda. Their current goal is to become more sustainable, by gaining enough donations to begin a farming plan, renting nearby land to grow produce, raise several goats and cows for milk, and chickens for eggs. To startup we estimate the need for at least $2000 USD which would pay for the animals, seeds, supplies, and land rent for the full year. Ongoing costs will be determined by water use and animal feed depending on the size of farm we can establish. We would be happy to discuss the specific costs and details of the plan with you, should you like to get more involved. The more help we have, the better :) and we would be grateful to extend the God in Action Family.
If they can achieve this farm plan, it could help feed them regularly, and also potentially be a source of income for the orphanage. All sizes of donations are always appreciated for daily needs of food, soap and clothing. 100% of donations will go directly to the small organization, who help the children day to day on the property with cooking, maintenance, Bible stories, and of course some play time :) Funds sent safely via WorldRemit.com to Narswif. I have video chatted with Narswif and many of the children, and also personally donated more than $1000 over time since late 2020, and continue to donate when I am able to. But I do not have enough to give, so I thought I would try to help in a different way by creating this page.
As mentioned we are also trying to improvise a farming plan that can help the children long-term, but the costs to start this will take some time to collect unless we find the right person or people to help. Please reach out to us. We can also use help in other ways, if people have connections or abilities they can offer to support the growing orphanage, we would be so very thankful for any ideas, assistance, or collaboration.
Please know that there really is a constant need for food there. Even a small amount would help, $10, $20, $50, $100, $300. Please do not limit yourself if you have the means to give and are reading this. Your support is so valuable to us. And giving to good people who need support will always come back to you.
Narswif and I have been chatting regularly since early August 2020. He's sent me countless photos of the work he and his small team have done, the bags of rice, corn flour (posho), sugar and soap they have purchased. Large re-usable barrels of drinking water to jajas in more remote areas. More recently, they acquired a large water tank with the help of a 2nd GFM page setup for them by someone in the UK. We were so happy to receive this, making it much easier for them to collect clean drinking water.
