Backstory:

Sometimes God will make us do things that won’t make sense to others but when all said and done we have to stay committed to believing in him and trusting that he will guide us.

My name is Michael Campos and I am from Newman, Ca. My whole life I have helped and put others first before my own needs and this year on January 272022, I did just that again. My family and I were out shopping in Turlock Ca when we came across a family that was walking to a motel but with no car and a trail of luggage being carried by each individual. We waited to see what was happening and decided to drive up and see if they needed our help. We found out that the family had been homeless for quite sometime and been motel hopping and sometimes staying every night in the back of pick up truck. It was a family of four including a 12 year old daughter and a 3 year old son. That is when I heard God whisper into my ears saying “Take this family in and show them my love”. We did just that. Not one, not two… but four individuals were asked to stay at our home for the night. We provided out of our own pocket along with the Newman community & people around the state; new clothes, shoes hygiene products etc etc. Long story short we are still trying to continue to help them in any way, shape or form and can’t do it alone. I admit that I don’t know anyone or have ever heard of a family taking in a whole family into their home from off the streets. Strangers in the human world but in Gods eyes brothers and sisters. I listened to my heart and I don’t regret it one bit. Any donations would go towards getting them back on their feet as I personally can’t do it alone. Even sharing this message would be good enough because it provides awareness for the homeless and also that it’s okay to take risks sometimes especially when it involves love.
