FUNDRAISER SHUT DOWN - We're refunding the Fundraiser due to misdiagnosis despite 90%+ certainty. Read: our Statement

Our dear teammate Zhasurou from China recently received a shocking stage 3 Lymphoma Cancer diagnosis. The initial diagnosis alone has already cost her and her family thousands of dollars, and as she puts it, her future looks uncertain, especially with the expected high costs of chemotherapy ahead. We've set up this GoFundMe campaign to rally support for her and help cover the costs of her treatment.

This is a person with hopes and dreams, a creator and beloved member of the community yearning for the future of RTS and wishing she could stay with us just long enough to see it delivered.

We will be hosting an SC2 tournament to raise funds on Saturday 27/07 at 18:00 CEST. It will be streamed on Vindicta's Twitch.

All donations will be delivered to Zhasurou to help with her treatment costs*.
Donation goals:
  • $100 - Random draw of free coaching by Vindicta is added to the prize pool - unless first claimed by any donation $50 and above.
  • $200 - $50 gets added to tournament prizes, bumping the prize pool up to $110.

Commissions (please include your requested commission in your donation name!)
  • $10 - Fifa Card - Request a Fifa-style player card featuring you and your skills! Example
  • $25 - Co-cast - Co-cast a match with Vindicta, or have your replay casted (can be used multiple times).
  • $50 - Vindicta Coaching - Book an hour of coaching with Vindicta (Semi-pro Terran GM)*.
*First hour booked will 100% go to funding treatment, while every subsequent booking will be portioned between Vindicta (for his time) and the GoFundMe.

Her journey so far:

"The way I was diagnosed was pretty strange.
I was invited to the Stormgate showcase in South Korea, so I was excitedly trying on the necklace I planned to wear there.
I realized that there was a bump/growth on my neck.
At the hospital, the doctor said it might be an inflammation and I was prescribed antibiotics."

zhasurou before illness.

A week later, the bump grew significantly.

"I freaked out and went to a bigger hospital and found a lot of blood related problems. The doctor immediately ordered a bone marrow aspiration and a PET scan after seeing my report.
The diagnosis of Lymphoma was confirmed."

"The PET scans revealed cancerous cells in my spleen, indicating that cancerous cells are present in my blood from other parts of the body. This means that I have stage 3 cancer which has metastasized (spread) throughout my body. There are some early indications that cancerous cells may have spread to my spine due to highly metabolic cells detected by markers but further tests will be needed."

How the illness affected her face.

"While checking for lymphoma, my doctor found out again that I have an autoimmune deficiency. the immunologist said it could be Lupus/Sjögren's Syndrome, and ultimately I'll need the biopsy results to aid in the diagnosis, But I am still waiting on the biopsy, so it's not clear what kind of lymphoma I have."

"If it wasn't for (trying my necklace on for) the Stormgate Showcase, it's possible that I could just randomly die in a couple of months.
I felt like Stormgate saved my life."
