GoFundMe for Saron Berhe

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Saron “Sweet” Fessehaye Berhe. Our whole community has suffered such a deep loss of a bright and beautiful woman.

 

Sweet was born in Asmara, Eritrea to Tsega Tedla and Fessehaye Gebrewahid as their third child. When she was three years old, her family made the long trip to settle in Phoenix, Arizona where she lived most of her life. She excelled academically, was highly involved in her church and always looked for ways to serve her community. She graduated from Arizona State University with undergraduate degrees in Business and Political Science.

 

She was in her last semester at Howard Law School, where she was very active in her community. She served as president of the African Law Students Association and was a student-attorney in the Fair Housing Clinic and  with the World Bank Group Externship. She was very excited to recently accept her first post-graduation position with a prestigious law firm in New York City. Sweet was highly energetic and loved making friends everywhere she went. She was adventurous and traveled the world. She had the biggest smile in the room. Her friends described her as smiley, vibrant, adventurous, a believer, a light, ambitious, down-to-earth, sweet; she truly lived up to her name. She had a deep faith in Jesus and loved God with her whole being.

 

 

This fund was created with the hope of raising money to help alleviate the financial burden as her family deals with this tremendous loss. We are finding that there are many costs to ensure Sweet can be brought back to Arizona to rest near her family. Please contribute as you are able and keep her family and friends in your prayers during this difficult time. Any additional funds raised will be donated to a cause that is meaningful to her.
