Help support Jennie, and her family Fight Cancer

Hi, my name is Aaron. I’m married to Samantha — Jennie’s older sister — and I’m putting this together because someone we love is about to face the hardest year of her life.

Jennie has been diagnosed with breast cancer. At first, we were hopeful it was caught early, but we’ve now learned it’s more serious. The cancer has spread to her lymph nodes. Thankfully, it hasn’t reached her lungs, brain, or bones — but the road ahead will be long, painful, and uncertain.

She begins chemo — 8 rounds stretched over 6 months. After that, she’ll undergo a mastectomy, and hysterectomy, and then go through radiation. Doctors believe it’s somewhere between stage 2 and 3, but we’ll know more after surgery.

Jennie is a mom of four — two boys and two girls — and she’s doing her best to stay strong for them. But it’s hard. This diagnosis has shaken her whole family. For a small village like Stanley, NB, and for a family as close as hers, this has been heavy.

Jennie is one of six siblings. She’s surrounded by love — her parents, Andy and Laura, and her brother and sisters: Mike, Samantha, Heather, Sarah, and Amy . Right now, everyone is doing their best to rally around her — but we know there are going to be some really tough days ahead.

My dad had cancer, and I’ve seen firsthand how overwhelming this journey can be. I’ve also been on the receiving end of help when my family went through something difficult — and that kind of support stays with you forever. That’s why I wanted to set this up.

This fundraiser is to help cover the unplanned costs that come with a diagnosis like this — time off work, travel for treatments, meals, childcare, recovery, and everything in between. Even a small amount makes a big difference.
