Help Amy heal after sudden open heart surgery

Help Amy heal after sudden open heart surgery and coronary artery double bypass graft (CABG) surgery.

Hi everyone,

We’re reaching out on behalf of our dear friend and sister in Christ, Amy Schultz, a gifted artist, self-employed real estate agent, loving wife, and most importantly a devoted follower of Jesus. Just days ago, Amy suffered a sudden and life-threatening SCAD heart attack. Shortly after, she underwent emergency open-heart surgery to repair two dissected arteries, one of which was the widowmaker, the largest artery. Her medical team has told us she is blessed to be alive—a miracle we do not take lightly.

We give glory to God for hearing our prayers and surrounding Amy with an army of angels—from skilled cardiologist Dr. David Prutzman, surgeons Dr. Merick Kirshner and Dr. Hao Pan, nurses who have had crucial roles in Amy's care and safety and faithful friends praying—who are helping carry her through. We believe the Lord has more in store for her life, and we are asking for your help as she begins the long road to healing.

Amy and her husband, Larry, are both self-employed—Amy in real estate and art, and Larry as a real estate appraiser. Without paid time off or workplace backup, Larry has had no choice but to continue working full days just to keep up with bills—even while Amy is in the hospital. He wants nothing more than to be by her side—and he should be—but financially, that’s not possible without support.

This emergency has added a heavy burden to what has already been a tough few years in their employment industries. They are now facing:

A $6,000 insurance deductible

Uncertain and potentially overwhelming hospital and recovery bills

Complete loss of income from Amy while she heals

Ongoing medical appointments and time off needed for Larry to care for her

Yet through it all, Amy and Larry’s faith remains strong. They have spent years quietly showing up for others—being the hands and feet of Jesus, loving generously, and lending a hand without hesitation when others were in need. Now, it’s our turn to come alongside them.

When visiting Amy she shared this verse with me:
“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”
— John 15:13
It is true! And her life is a testimony of that kind of love.

How You Can Help:
We’ve set an initial goal of $8,000 to help cover medical bills, recovery expenses, and allow Larry the freedom to step away from work and support Amy during this critical time.

Donate: Any amount helps lighten their load and reminds them they’re not alone.

Share this page with others who may want to give or pray.

Pray: Join us in thanking God for saving Amy’s life, and in asking for full healing and strength in the months ahead.

Support Amy’s Art: Visit AmySchultzArt.com to view her work. Your encouragement—whether through a purchase or a kind message—means more than you know.

Funds will be used to pay for Amy’s medical expenses, rehab, and loss of income.

We believe God is writing a powerful story through this moment. Though the season is painful, may He be glorified in every step, and may Amy’s healing shine as a light of His mercy and love.

Thank you for your prayers, your gifts, and your compassion. Your support truly means a lot.

With love and gratitude,

Anita Sanda
