A Kidney For Mommom
Donation protected
Hi there! As many of you may already know- our beloved wife, mom and grandmother, Theresa (who we call "Mommom") has been living with Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) for over 25 years. Mommom goes to dialysis three times a week, but she is in renal failure and #PKD is shutting down her kidneys. This is urgent, and she desperately needs a kidney transplant to survive. She is now officially listed at Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack, NJ- and unfortunately, time is NOT on our side. Our hope, as a family, is to find Mommom a living donor- sooner rather than later- & give her the gift of life. If she receives that "gift of life," the costs of such a medical procedure- along with post-op & after care, medication, etc. is staggering.
We are putting our hearts in our hands and asking for your help. Every penny received would help our family. If you are interested in becoming a donor, or want to learn more about living donation, the staff at Hackensack Hospital is available to speak with. You may fill out a form to begin the process at hmh.donorscreen.org and request a donor kit for her specifically. You can also reach out to any one of us. Thank you in advance for your support. We greatly appreciate it.
With Love,
Jim, Sharen, Renee, JT, Tom, Alyssa, Justin, Marissa and TJ.
