Inner Compass Art Therapy Clinic
The Kutenai Art Therapy Institute (KATI) has a 25-year history of educating therapists and serving the community. In this time of great need in our communities, we find ourselves perfectly positioned to help match our network of skilled art therapists with the people who want their support. We are excited to present the Inner Compass Art Therapy Clinic.
At KATI we recognize that this is a time of tremendous anxiety and uncertainly. We want to respond by offering a service that matches what is called for today. Our goal is to develop an online service that allows individuals, businesses, teams and groups to develop an understanding of the benefits of art therapy and access support services unique to their circumstances from the privacy of their home.
The Inner Compass Art Therapy Clinic provides affordable, accessible and timely support to everyone. Most of the costs required to launch the studio are one-time startup costs. We need to hire tech support, increase staffing, and would like to ensure we have plenty left over to offer fully subsidized sessions. Our goal is to raise $25,000 in our 25th year. If 250 alumni and friends of KATI could raise or contribute $100, we will meet our goal. For anyone that donates $100 or more, an art therapy session will be paid forward to someone in need on your behalf.
The goal of Inner Compass is to equip individuals and groups of all sizes with the tools to navigate the complexities of life including our global health crisis. KATI's friends, family and alumni understand the power of art therapy as an evidence-based practice that builds resiliency, creates connection, and supports health and wellness. Art therapy fosters self-awareness, promotes insights, and personal development. KATI specializes in eco-art therapy, finding wellness through art and nature. Art therapy is also used for grief and loss, trauma, mental health challenges, relationship issues, addictions, and much more.
We know accessing support is challenging. 1 in 5 Canadians experience mental health issues or mental illness each year. The Inner Compass Art Therapy Clinic is designed to be easily accessible, and affordable for those who need it with sliding scale options that slide right down to $0 per session.
Art therapy is a vehicle for social change. It is about discovery and re-imaging what is possible. We are asking you to join us and help us to bring the benefits of art therapy into hearts, homes, and businesses locally and globally. Thank you for any support you can offer. Sharing this post and helping us spread the word is a great way to contribute!
KATI is a registered charity; all donations will receive a tax receipt through GoFundMe. If you are interested in learning more about KATI's fundraising initiatives visit: https://www.kutenaiarttherapy.com/donate.
