Thoughts and Prayers for Ling - A Great Mom

The purpose:
The purpose of this GoFundMe is to tell Mom's story and keep friends and family updated. There is no need to donate. Most importantly, please send along your thoughts, I know Mom would appreciate it and she needs all the help she can get. We will be writing updates to her condition almost daily for those that are interested. GoFundMe is an easily-accessible way for me to keep folks updated.
Situation:
On 3/15/21, my 56 year-old mom had two ruptured brain aneurysms. She was showing no signs outside of a mild and persistent headache. Luckily, Mom insisted on getting a CT scan and was in the emergency room waiting for her scan when the aneurysm ruptured. She was immediately flown to a nearby larger hospital where she remains in a critical, life-threatening condition. She is currently described as "critically stable". There is no way to sum this up other than terrible luck. Aneurysms are extremely difficult to identify and there is no way to treat them after they have ruptured. The doctors give her a small chance to survive and if she survives, she will have significant and permanent deficiencies which will impact her daily functions.
About Ling:
When people say "____ has so much to live for", I think of Mom because that's how she lives her life. Mom worked hard, laborious jobs without complaint her entire life to support my sister and I. This was especially admirable to me because she barely spoke English, lived in a country where she did not have many friends and family, and could not fully express herself. There is no concise way to sum up all the sacrifices that she made for us. Knowing the amount of love, a true mother's love, she had for us makes the situation now even harder but also makes us feel extremely blessed regardless of the conclusion of this ordeal. Mom recently said to me that these last 2 years have been her most fulfilling ones, and the ones where she has felt the most alive.
I always describe Mom as having a teenage soul - she certainly has the curiosity of one. Anything new that I was doing, she wanted to learn about. Anything new that piqued her interest, she googled. To name a few: she is taking online classes, she opened a business with me to give her something to do after retirement, and she recently developed a passion for streetwear and sneakers. She would bug me everyday at 10 AM to enter into draws on the SNKRS app, only to lose every time. When the nurses asked me if they should play any music for her which might help her wake up, we all got a good laugh when I told them Pitbull without hesitation. Mom loves Mr. Worldwide.
I could go on and on but there's something to be said about short and sweet. Needless to say, Mom is a beautiful person.
