Jared’s Recovery

Hi, my name is Krista Norman and I am fundraising for my brother, Jared Norman. As many of you know, Jared was in an accident last Monday night. Jared was on his motorcycle and someone crossed three lanes of traffic to make an exit. As a result, Jared was struck by the vehicle and drug down the freeway. All he can remember is the pain and praying for it to stop before he passed out. Jared’s bone came through his arm and broke off on the freeway. He had to have surgery on his arm and ankle. He also suffered a broken back in two places, and road burn covering almost the entire back of his body. They equate it to being burned in a fire. His back is essentially just exposed nerves. He is non weight bearing on the entire left side of his body for the foreseeable future. He has also started having seizures and as of right now, we don’t have answers as to why. He will eventually be in a back brace, but until the wounds heal on his back, he is unable to wear it. Doctors have not been able to give us any real timeline as to when he will be able to go home. We’ve been told it could take a year for him to recover. If you know my brother, you know that being bedridden and unable to care for himself is as much torture as the injuries. At the prompting of friends, we are starting a GoFundMe to assist with medical expenses and life bills as he will be unable to care for himself or work for the foreseeable future. Asking for help is completely out of our comfort zone, but so many of you have asked if we have a GoFundMe because you want to help. If you are unable to help financially, we continue to request your prayers for his healing and peace of mind. He is traumatized by the memory of what happened and desperately needs peace. We know so many people are praying  and we are so grateful. Thank you for your support and the love you have shown him and our family.
