Sadly My Niece Ashanti Carmon was murdered in the early morning hours of Saturday March 30th 2019, she had been shot multiple times. there was no evidence of robbery because her purse still had all its belongings in it, so with that being said our family is left to believe that Ashanti was killed because she was a transgendered person. We must tell the world there is no greater pain than losing a loved one especially someone like our Ashanti who was so full of life and was and will always be supported and loved by her family and many friends. Ashanti was born Gerry D. Carmon, from the time she was an infant there was always a beam of light when ever she smiled.  But i noticed at the age of 12 things started to change, she showed more interest in doing her sisters hair and makeup and dressing her dolls. when she was 15 she asked me would i support her while she made the transition from male to female and i told her if you feel that would complete you than you will have my support as well as my never ending love and respect for you.It was very important for Ashanti to make her grand appearance and not worry about how people accepted her as long as she was finally happy, just watching Ashanti grow into this loving human being was awesome. this is the reason that i created the goFundme to raise money for her funeral and burial. I'm praying that we have the needed funds by Mon.04/08/2019.I am the person who will be in charge of final expenses for Ashanti. The world has lost another beautiful soul simply because hatred  once again raised its vile and evil head with intentions on destroying a beautiful soul who was gentle and loved by so many.  Now she rest in heaven with her mom Monica and her younger bother Amos, even though her time here was cut short, her forgiving heart, and her unconditional love will stay with me forever.   Your Loving aunt  Ann,  RIP my sweet baby.
