Going To Bat For Braxton
Donation protected
On September 12th 2020 a very special young man, Braxton Weidman, suffered a seizure during the evening after playing in a baseball game that morning. The seizure led to the discover that Braxton had brain tumor. After surgery was performed to remove a piece of the tumor the medical staff and oncology department at Children's Hospital in Birmingham determined that Braxton has a rare form of brain cancer. While this is not good news we know that God is bigger than cancer and there are treatments available. The Weidman family is a huge part of the Oak Mountain Baseball community at Heardmont Park in North Shelby County. That is why this Sunday October 4th we will be having our "Going to Bat for Braxton" Day at Heardmont Park. From 12:30pm - 5:00PM. There will be a silent auction fundraiser at the senior center from 1-5pm and there will be food trucks from Full Moon BBQ, Piazzo's big slice pizza, and Steel City Pops! Bring the whole family and enjoy this beautiful fall weather and lets raise a bunch of money to support this amazing family and this amazing little boy's long journey ahead. Thank You!
