Going to Laser World Championship
Donation protected
Four years ago....I had the great priviege of being able to compete in Optimist World Sailing Championship in Argentina as part of the Team USA. Now after graduating to the Laser Radial boat class, I am off to the 2018 ILCA Laser Radial Youth World Championships in Kiel, Germany in August.
My parents, who both work hard to provide me these opportunities, and many of our friends and family have been great supporters throughout my sailing career and passion. I try to give back and make some of my own money by coaching other younger sailors. But this summer has been more intense in travel and competitions, including the 2018 U.S. Nationals in Houston, where I won the Laser Radial Class, and the Laser North American Championship in Long Beach, California, where took 4th place. I also was very fortunate to participate in a Olympic Development Program clinic held in San Francisco.
The World competition, however, will be the hardest competition of my sailing career because of the travel and so many of those participating have trained so hard to get there.
Please consider helping me offset the costs for travel, charter and registration fees to participate in this incredible next level of my sailing journey.
