Jessica N. Walker, Olympic Hopeful

Hello! I am Jessica Walker, an Olympic hopeful for the USA Bobsled and Skeleton team. I am asking your help to start me on the road to making my dream of becoming an Olympic athlete come true!

A college Track and Field All-American with 6 individual conference titles at Buffalo State University, my performances contributed to 3 consecutive team conference championships. These achievements put the fire in me to work towards becoming a member of an Olympic track and field team. I have continued my track and field training and conditioning since graduating in May 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Forensic Chemistry and a Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry. Nathan Young, strength and conditioning coach at Buffalo State University, encouraged me to investigate and pursue bobsledding. This past August, I participated in a Combine Test, and as a result have been invited to travel to Lake Placid, NY in November to attend an on-ice Bobsled and Skeleton school to compete for a spot on the USA Olympic Development Team!!

Funds donated will cover the cost for ice school, travel, accommodations, food, warm practice clothing/shoes, and other required gear.
