Golborne Parkside Pirates Pitch Improvements

We wanted to take a moment to share some exciting news and also ask for your support. Here at Golborne, we have a thriving rugby community with teams ranging from Cubs to Masters. It's truly incredible to see players as young as 3 years old and as experienced as 70 years young coming together to enjoy the sport they love. One of the things that make our club so special is the diverse range of teams we have. We have mixed teams, girls' teams, boys' teams, women's teams, and men's teams. It's truly a testament to the inclusivity and passion for rugby that we have here at Golborne Parkside Pirates Rugby League Club.

Recently, we have been working on a project to improve the drainage on our back pitches, which will enable more rugby to take place. Taking them from this swap to pitches we can be proud of.

This is an important development for our club, as it will provide better playing conditions and more opportunities for our players to enjoy the sport.

However, as with any project of this scale, it comes with a cost. So far we have spend 30k on the improvements, our teams have been incredibly dedicated to fundraising and donating to support this project. Their hard work and generosity have already helped us raise £5000, which is an amazing achievement.

However, we are still £6000 short of the total project cost, and we are reaching out to our wider rugby family for support.

We understand that times are tough for many, and any contribution, no matter how big or small, would be greatly appreciated. Whether it's through a donation or simply spreading the word about our fundraising efforts, every bit of support counts.

We want to ensure that our players, both young and old, have access to top-notch facilities and can continue to enjoy the sport they love.
