Gold A Virtual Penny Wars!

Hello!
We are Knight Vision, Menlo School’s community engagement club! As a club, we do community outreach, fundraisers, and other service-related initiatives for organizations both in the Bay Area and around the world. For example, we raised over $6,000 for COVID relief last spring!
Currently, we are supporting the San Francisco chapter of Meals On Wheels. Meals On Wheels is a national non-profit organization that provides vulnerable seniors with food and care, allowing seniors to live in their homes with dignity and independence as long as possible. The support that Meals On Wheels provides is invaluable to those they assist; with 89% of Meals On Wheels chapters reporting an increased demand during the pandemic, Knight Vision decided to help. To support our seniors, Knight Vision is holding Penny Wars, and the donations will benefit Meals on Wheels to help feed those in need.
Penny Wars is a method of fundraising in which people fill a jar with coins and bills, competing against other groups (other grades or teams). Because of the hybrid learning schedule, this Penny Wars is a competition between the hybrid groups, and will have a virtual option! To support this initiative, students, faculty, staff, and parents can either add money to the jars set up on campus, or can donate virtually here! At the end of the competition, all the money will be donated to Meals On Wheels, and the hybrid group with the most donations will win a prize (to be determined!).
We thank you in advance for participating and giving to this incredible cause!
Best,
The Knight Vision Meals On Wheels Committee (Allison P. ‘21, Martina P. ‘21, Galen H. ‘24, Arjun S. ‘24, Mitali S. ‘23)
