Hello we are reaching out to you to help our favorite place to visit in South Florida, the Gold Coast Railroad Museum. Do you remember the last time you were there...how amazing it was to go onto the trains, maybe you attended a special event, or was there during the holidays, birthday parties, Free Saturday, and road one of the trains, or was part of the Polar Express ride...
GCRM is dedicated to preserving, exhibiting and operating historic railroad equipment. The Museum is devoted to the history of railroading, and remains open to the public, and operates as a non-profit organization.
One of the places I am sure you visited while you were there was the model train exhibits. In this building you got to see a number of model railroads in many scales, including N, HO, O27 and G scale as well as Thomas Play Tables for the children.
Anyone who loves trains, owns model trains, come from families who worked/work on the railroad can appreciate the Gold Coast Railroad Museum and it preserving the history of this wonderful world of the Railroad.
Now to why we are contacting you, the building that houses the model train exhibits, Thomas Play Tables, and the Set of Ted the Trainman TV show is in need of Roof Repair... the building has developed leaks... and those leaks are affecting the inside of the building where these things are stored and made available to the public to visit.
We need help in raising the money needed to repair the roof... and are asking everyone to please donate at least $5 or more to these repairs, and keep the things in this building safe so that the exhibits there can stay open to the public and safe.
