Gold Drum & Bugle Corps Fundraiser

Hello, my name is Jordan, and I have been contracted for a 2nd year with Gold Drum & Bugle Corps. I play in high brass on the mellophone. Those whom are not familiar with GOLD, it is an Open Class competitive junior drum and bugle corps based in Oceanside, California. Gold performs in Drum Corps International competitions all over the United States

My journey going into Gold was an experience that I have never thought I would get to have, from the beginning of practices to the end of competitions.

During my first year with GOLD, I can say that those interested in Gold never have to feel unwelcome because of the staff. They ALL are nice and understanding, and give their full attention into the competitions.

In my first year for Gold, it was a great way to make new friends, and EVERYONE in the Corps became your friend. As a group, you learn to practice together and achieve your weakness in the organization, all while helping one another to be stronger and not fear playing and performing for large audiences.

During my tour, I got to travel to places such as IL, GA, WA, IA, and IN, and I must say, all these places were delightful to see in person and meet others all while competing. The most memorable experience was being in person at the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, where the World Championship was held. Over 8,000 people come from all around the world to experience in person the competition that the Open Class and World Class provide for all to see. Words can not express the visual experience of the finals, only the presence of being able to participate in person. My family got to view my completions on TV as well.

I'm looking forward to all the rehearsals and competitions again. Going all over the country for tour for the second year will be a dream come true, especially Lucas Oil Stadium. I really recommend those interested in drum corps, joining Gold because you'll learn so much and it will be a highlight of your life.

I am collecting donations to help with my tuition fees with GOLD. The tuition fees will help me with travel fees, room and board, food, while traveling around USA, as well events that I perform at. I'm very excited having this opportunity with GOLD for a second year and I can't wait to experience it again this summer. My performances will start June and will go till August. Please help donate and help me with my second year journey.
