Neighborhood Bear "Chaka" has gone to Heaven

Chaka, our 7yr old husky, was my second child, my best friend, and everyone's reason to smile. We were out Gold mining in the desert, doing what we love as a family, when, in a freak accident Chaka was run over by a truck. We rushed him to the hospital and with high hopes, he even came home for recovery from broken bones and bruised lungs. Unfortunately, he suffered a stroke and we lost our baby Chaka on Valentines Day at 4:30am. We were with him at his passing and let him know he was a good boy. Chaka was known throughout our town to sleep under our vehicle during the day, escaping the heat from Newport Beach's high temperatures. Although it might have seemed he lived in a small space, he always had the beach to run free, much like his spirit and personality. Everyone that has ever come in contact with Chaka has nothing but AMAZING things to say and now Chaka has passed on to a better place and is no longer in pain. The bills are going to be hard on our family, and if you do have anything and you knew this Amazing dog, please help in any way that you can. Every bit helps, and my family and I really appreciate it… This dog helped a lot of people heal, face their fears and was just there for anyone who needed a hug… he just couldn't quite get his paws around you. I strive to be strong and brave for my family, but this is not going to be a pretty face for a while. Thank you for your support and prayers for our baby Chaka.
