Goldenrod Parlor's Free Haircut Fund

*Update* Our goal amount has increased! This amount reflects money we have raised for our past Free Haircut event and ALSO for this upcoming Free Haircut event that we can't wait to host and share with the community!

Goldenrod Parlor opened as a salon in Gainesville, FL in November of 2021. It was built with the foundation of being a safer space for both staff and clients and is ethically driven by fair pay for stylists and community building as two of its big pillars. As the salon has grown, so have our ideals and goals - which has now landed us with a Free Haircut Fund idea. We've had clients, strangers, and followers offer to contribute to helping out those in need of haircuts without a real way of doing so. So, as a solution we've come up with different marginalized and underserved groups we want to be able to offer free haircuts to, while still paying our staff for their time and efforts. All funds will go towards sponsoring a haircut for LGBTQ+ folks, BIPOC communities, school teachers, abortion care workers, and more as we become able to accommodate. We hope to feel our community's enthusiasm and support for us to be able to give deserving people Good Ass Hair.
