Goli Village Trust Nepal

On April 25, 2015, a devastating earthquake hit the country of Nepal, displacing thousands of people and ruining their villages and livelihoods.

My name is Ian Taylor and in 2008 I stood on the summit of Mount Everest and since then have brought many other inspiring hikers and climbers to the Nepalese Himalayas, with my trekking company .  The Sherpa people are the kindess and most generous people that I have ever encountered in the world, and they need our help.

Many of our Sherpa staff in Nepal come from the village of Goli , 109km (68mi) East of Kathmandu, below Everest.  Most of their homes, Monestaries and the Village School have been badly damaged or collapsed. Our initial goal is to help re-build the main infrastructure in the Village and help the villagers get back on their feet, 100% of your donation will go directly to the village. Through our trekking company, we hope to continue to support the village for years to come.

Through our fundraising efforts to date, we have built a brand new school for the children of Goli and now we have set our new target of building a medical center for the Village of Goli and surrounding areas.
