Gomez Family Memorial Fund

Barbara Gomez past away the evening of Tuesday December 10th. She fell ill the previous Thursday with flu like symptoms. By Friday evening she was unable to move on her own, David and I had to help her with everything. Sunday she was admitted to the hospital and 48 hours later she joined her parents and best friend in heaven. Barbara was both a mother and a father. She was the coolest woman ever, so much volunteer work with Eastern Star and other charity organizations, community involvement in San Leandro (her hometown) and Concord specifically Concord Police Advisory member, Contra Costa Library Commissioner, participated in Concord City Council meetings and functions, 36 years of work with AT&T, taking care of David on her own...and he was Not the easiest child growing up.

She past away with her grandson Daniel and David at her side with notes from her granddaughter Maya and a phone call from  granddaughter Kayla and  myself just before her last breath.  She leaves behind her son David, daughter in-law Andrea, Grandson Daniel, granddaughters Kayla ad Maya, and Great Grandson Daniel Jr. We were blessed to have her live with us for the past 11 years in Concord. Our home is too quiet now, never again will the girls hear "good morning" from her before school, never again will the girls hear her ask them how their day was, how did your soccer games go, etc. 

We are so heart broken but happy she is no longer in pain from all her health issues over the past 11 years.

All funds raised will go towards her medical and final expenses, helping with rent and bills for the coming months.
