Hello,
I'm Doctor Tom Potisk.
Let me tell you why I'm donating my time and money to restore and maintain the Gonstead Clinic in Mount Horeb, WI and as that you join me.
3 years ago I attended the 50th anniversary celebration event at the Gonstead Clinic. Wow, that was loads of fun and definitely one of the top ten experiences of my Chiropractic career.
As I sat and listened to dozens of speakers recalling their amazing memories with Dr Gonstead and the clinic, my desire to help preserve the legacy was ignited.
For example, one of Dr Gonstead's relatives, a nephew, told his memories of family gatherings. He described a quiet, humble and kind man, who although extremely busy, took time to attend family events.
Another memorable speaker was an elderly lady who had been a patient of Dr Gonstead's all her life. Now in her late 80s, she shared her delight in her exceptional health attributed to the adjustments. She also told of observing many Green Bay Packer football players coming to see Dr G, and meeting many patients in the waiting room who traveled from all corners of the globe because they could not get help anywhere else.
But I'll never forget this story -a DC from Canada told of having a young boy patient with undecended testes. A quick call to Dr Gonstead for advice revealed that undescended testes are often the consequence of an EX ilium subluxation (twisted pelvic bone for you non DCs). Adjusting the boy that way resulted in a quick recovery and years later that patient returned to introduce his wife and several children!
I began to understand that this clinic was the "Mayo Clinic" equivalent in Chiropractic, and that this place is the "Rock of Gibraltar" for specific full spine hands on Chiropractic.
It became obvious to me that the Gonstead Clinic needs to continue to stand and operate, not only as a functional Chiropractic office, but as a teaching institution.
Can you help me, please?
Let’s not do this for ourselves, but let’s preserve this place and the legacy as a shining example of ultra-success all Chiropractors can aspire to.
And more importantly, so our children, grandchildren, and future generations will always be able to get a specific hands-on Chiropractic adjustment.
Lots of help is needed. Tallying the mortgage, repairs, maintenance and establishing an adequate endowment fund totals at least $750,000.00.
Funds are needed immediately as you can see in the pictures how the building is crumbling.
I and the Board of Directors are all volunteers, and The Gonstead Chiropractic Foundation is a non-profit 501c3 so all your donations are fully tax deductible and go directly to the clinic's restoration and operational needs.
Together I know we can do this. Any amount you can give is sincerely appreciated.
Join me please as "Gonstead Guardians".
Sincerely,
Dr Tom Potisk
President, CS Gonstead Chiropractic Foundation
P.S. Feel welcome to contact me with any comments or questions. Your input is always highly respected and appreciated. If you've already given, we sincerely thank you! Please consider being an annual donor, and also add the Foundation to your estate planning.
P.S.P.S. Stop by the clinic and say Hello to the staff! Dianne Gordon, office manager, would be happy to arrange a tour for you.
