Good Luck Mac

My buddy, almost 7 year old Mac the Golden Retriever needs surgery for a tumor removal.  It is quite a large tumor - about the size of half a cantaloupe. It is slowing down his breathing and causing discomfort.  Surgery is scheduled for Tuesday, April 2, 2019.  His dad Anthony is a wonderful man, friend, brother, Uncle, son, neighbor - you get the drift.  He is an awesome dog Dad - the best around.  He gets up before 5AM to take Mac on a long walk before work, he has a dog walker - me! for during the day to make sure Mac gets exercise and has some company and a bathroom break.  He spoils Mac with toys and treats and a home with a fenced in yard. He snow blows his lawn in the winter so that Mac has a safe spot to do his business and cant get salt in his paws ! Anthony works so hard at his "day job" to make ends meet and pay his bills but solo home ownership can be tough.  He handcrafts - builds and paints flags, and house plaques in his garage and basement to sell for extra money.  He has donated flags to local police departments and Veterans, schools, animal shelters, and local businesses.  He will do anything in his power to make sure Mac is comfortable.  Labored breathing for a large dog and the stress its putting on his body - especially with warm weather coming- is hard for Anthony to watch.  He doesn't want Mac to struggle but he just needs a little bit of help from some friends and dog lovers.  You all know Anthony is a great friend. I know he has snow blown his neighbors driveways in the winter, he has helped friends fix their cars, buy new cars, sell cars,  he has helped his friends when Hurricane Sandy and Irene hit the New Jersey area.  He is willing to help anyone close to him - even strangers.  He is just a kind man with a big heart and Mac holds the biggest space in his heart.  I want them to have a happy long healthy life together.  Attached you will see the estimated bill from Verona Animal Hospital in Verona, New Jersey.  Any extra funds will be donated to a local animal shelter. I will provide proof of both the final vet bill and any donation.
