Good Noise Neighbors’ Fest
Donation protected
We are a group of concerned neighbors who are raising awareness about the affect bringing the F-35 fighter jets will have on our homes and our lives. The recently released environmental impact statement shows that many neighborhoods surrounding the Air Force Base will be affected by increased noise. Very increased! In fact, the environmental impact statement says 132 homes will be deemed uninhabitable and thousands of residents will be adversely affected. Many neighbors don’t even know this is happening! In order to raise awareness about the issue, we are planning a neighborhood festival with music. Many bands are working for a discounted rate but we still need to pay them a little bit for their time and there will be other expenses associated with the festival such as sound, tent rental, porta potties, etc. Please donate what you can.
Festival will be Sunday, October 20, 2-6pm at Thurber Park. Bands include V05, The Tony Castañeda Latin Jazz Band, Forward Marching Band, Jimmy Sugarcane. Speakers will update us on the fight against the F-35s. There will be a Packers tent so no one will miss the game. (Packers play at noon).
Any funds that aren’t used to pay for the festival will be donated to Save Skies Clean Water organization. More info on the issue can be found at:
