I am finally getting top surgery and I need your support!
I hope to get a DI (double incision) Top Surgery in early fall and am raising money to cover the remaining cost of surgery, as well as the time I will need to take off during my post-surgical recovery.
My relationship with my body, my transness, and my gender dysphoria has been complex and joyous, agonizing and challenging. After years (so many years) of healing in community and developing a deeper knowledge and intimacy with my body, and my identities, I am ready to take this next step towards wholeness, comfort and embodiment.
My breasts protected my sternum when I payed roller derby, created a soft pillow for friends to cry on, and looked great in my senior high school prom dress, but they no longer serve me. In the words of Ariana Grande "thank u, next".
