Gordy diagnosed with cancer - needs surgery ASAP
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Tamara, I live in NYC and who knows me, know Gordy that I rescued 8 years ago when he was around 3 years old. Gordy became my registered Emotional Support Animal, best friend, a Covid buddy, and a dear fur baby.
Just recently I have noticed his little butt bleeding and swollen. After a few times back and forth with his vets, hoping it's nothing serious, it turned out Gordy has a common type of cancer - anal gland tumors - that needs to be removed alongside fixing him, so the tumors don't grow back.
Both surgeries are scheduled on Aug 29th at Inwood Animal Clinic, where Gordy is known and loved. With all bloodwork, pre- and post-op, actually surgery, a day in the clinic, and medications the estimate we calculated with his vets comes up to $2,000.
This came unexpectedly, time is very limited. No insurance covers Gordy, because he is old and has a pre-existing condition, and the clinic offers no payment plans.
If we can unify, even 20 dollars will help. Sharing the link with your pet-lover friends is also very important. I have a week and please let little Gordy live longer - he means the world to me.
