Gordy’s Top Surgery Healing Fund

HOWDY! My name is Gordy Shur (they/them). I am a queer and non-binary individual. I am raising funds for my *drum roll* top surgery recovery!

My date is scheduled for 9/22/2023 with Dr. Jared Leibman in Philadelphia, PA!

I am so grateful that the surgery itself will be covered by insurance. However, I will be out of work for about a month during recovery. These funds will help with my expenses during the time I am healing; rent, utilities, groceries, etc! Truly any necessities. This $2,500 goal will keep me comfortable throughout recovery + provide some cushion in case getting back on my feet takes a little longer than anticipated.

I thought the life I am finally living was one in a dreamland, but it’s my reality. To affirm my body in this way is something I never thought I would be able to give myself and what an immense gift it is. We made it. With that being said, any funds to help during this journey of mine would mean the absolute world to me.
