Gorgie & Wes Lane Lost Home to Flooding

Hi there, my name is Ava Coffelt I am reaching out on behalf of my sister Gorgie Coffelt-Lane and her husband Wes Lane to friends, family and community. Both have been long time residents in the community of Blue Lake and Fieldbrook area. Wes was born and raised here and my sister has lived here all her life as well. On Saturday January 13th, 2024 my sister and her husband lost their whole house and both vehicles due to flooding that happened in Korbel/Blue Lake. The creek that was beside their home rose so fast they had only minutes to collect themselves as fast as they could and their vehicles couldn’t even make it thru! They lost everything they own. They didn’t even have time to get their 3 kitties Sophie, Sandy & and stray kitty they took in Oliver were left behind. As of now Sophie & Sandy have been found safe. As for the damage to their home is not repairable nor their vehicles. Unfortunately they don’t have any home insurance and no full coverage.
