Surgery costs for trans people are often barriers that act as a full stop to accessing the lifesaving and gender affirming healthcare we need.

After years of insurance woes, and fundraising for others, the time has come for my own surgery on October 11th, 2024!

This is super exciting. And also scary. And also super exciting and also super scary! But the freeing possibility of being topless at the beach, using locker rooms without fear, going on roadtrips without caution of gas station bathrooms, and not wearing a binder are top of mind.

And so I humbly ask for your support in covering what insurance won’t. Along with care after surgery, including groceries, follow up care, and all the things needed for comfort post surgery. If you’re reading this you probably know who I am, but in case you don’t, and because talking about myself makes me want to puke, I’ve asked some friends to do the talking for me.
