Help Bobby

Hello friends and family of Bobby Nuzzo. My name is Mike Ecker, and I have created this Go Fund Me page for my dear friend, Bobby Nuzzo, who was diagnosed with Stage IV Metastatic Prostrate Cancer approximately 3 years ago.

When Bobby’s cancer was initially discovered it had already spread from his prostrate, down his legs, to the back of his skull and nine distinct areas in between. The doctors immediately began aggressive chemo treatments that lasted for 6 months in the hopes of reducing the tumors that have attached themselves to various parts of his body. Bobby then went on several different trial drugs; the side effects of which were just as daunting as the chemo itself. Bobby's cancer never went into remission.

At the time he was diagnosed Bobby could no longer work and immediately started paying out of pocket for COBRA (health insurance) which was in upwards of $1,000.00 per month. He then lost his health insurance in March of this year and is now on Medicare. While still remaining quiet about the high cost of supplemental insurance policies, as well as exorbitant co-pays for the Tier 5 cancer medications, Bobby and his wife Susan remained optimistic as they exhausted their savings. Bobby remains devoted to his family and friends as he is always welcoming everyone over to watch the games (Phillies especially!) --- all the time smiling so no one would know how difficult things really had become. Bobby surely has been an inspiration to us all throughout this horrible nightmare.

Bobby is loved and admired by so many of us with his quick witted humor, his love for music and his invaluable friendship to all of us. Most of us have known and loved him since the early days at Birches Elementary School and are still very close almost 50 years later! That in of itself is a testament to his character and his true heart.

Unfortunately the cancer is progressing and he needs to go on another (new) cancer medication. The monthly co-pay for the medication is very expensive and completely out of reach for them to keep up. I was hoping that this message would reach all of Bobby's friends and family, and I am asking if you could please chip in and help me help Bobby continue his fight.
