Justice for our beloved Alisha
Donation protected
****Update***
January 14,2024 Alisha would have been 38 years old. The holidays and January have been difficult as a family as we continue to mourn but celebrate Alisha. We are still working to get answers about her sudden passing. Her body has not been cremated yet as we wait for medical reviews. Thank you for all the support, donations, kind words, shares, and prayers. Please continue to keep our family in your prayers in 2024, and light a candle with us in memory of her tonight 1/14/24

Dear Family and Friends,
On September 16th 2023 my daughter Alisha was medically declared dead. Alisha was a beautiful soul that illuminated the world with kindness. Born with Hydrocephalus she beat the odds and blessed our family for 37 years.
Alisha had shunt revision (brain) surgery on August 31, 2023, and was sent home the following day September 1st. Within days of her release Alisha became ill. She was not able to keep anything down, complained of feeling bad, and started to have seizures. Alisha went back and forth to the hospital over the next two weeks, always sent home quickly. Her final trip to the hospital she was scheduled to be released on September 14th, and instead of a call to pick up my daughter we were told that she was on life support and not expected to make it.
Once at the hospital we were told many different things about what caused her condition and eventual death. Each different explanation left more questions than answers.
They rushed to declare her dead, and quickly got her organs for donation (her organs saved many lives).
With Alisha’s passing many unanswered questions remain. What happened on September 14th? Was the surgery performed properly? What was the actual cause of her death? Many of you have asked these questions too and wanted to know. Now our family needs your help.
With heavy hearts we ask for your support in seeking Justice for Alisha. Many of you have asked what you can do during this difficult time, by donating to this GoFundMe campaign or sharing it with people who may have known and loved Alisha will help our cause. By raising funds we will be able to do an independent autopsy, and continue to pay for storage of her body until proper medical experts can review her case. Any contribution no matter the size will help us get the resolution we seek.
With Gratitude,
Margaret & Family
