Save Piglet The Cat
Piglet is a 12 month old, female, black cat. She’s had a terrible start in life having had at least four previous homes before she came into the care of Garston Animal Rescue. When she arrived, she had disgusting green discharge coming from her nose and was having difficulty breathing. Sadly, the vet discovered that Piglet has a growth in the space above her soft palate (mouth). It pushes on her nose and ear cavities. The only way to try to save Piglet’s life is to perform an operation but because the tumour is close to so many nerves, this needs to be done by a specialist and is very expensive. We are going to do everything in our power to save Piglet but we need help because the operation will cost around £3,000.
We are a small animal rescue working under very cramped and difficult conditions. At any one time we have 6 dogs and around 70 cats in residence. Many of these cats are feral or so traumatised that they are not able to be rehomed, so they live with us permanently. Our feeding, cleaning & veterinary costs are very high both for our resident animals and for the endless stream of unwanted, stray and abused cats that come to us in desperate need. It's a constant struggle to make ends meet and we rely totally on the generosity of the public to get by.
Garston Animal Rescue believes that every animal has the right to a good quality of life which is why we are asking if you would kindly help us fund Piglet’s operation. Any amount you can give, no matter how small, will be very gratefully received and will allow Piglet to live her best life.
Thank you so much.
