Blaine's Treatment for Lyme Disease

Donation protected

With the financial hardships brought on from his illness, Blaine is now in imminent danger of losing his home and studio. Blaine designed and built everything himself. It was a dream of his since he was a child and now he is in danger of losing everything. He has not been able to work in over a year and doesn't know when he will be able to return. Your further support could mean the difference in Blaine keeping his home, continuing his medical treatments, and getting back to the work he loves.

After 18 months of debilitating pain that has halted his craft as a potter, Blaine finally has a diagnosis. So, yay!

Although he is very grateful to finally give it a name, we've come to learn that Lyme Disease is a very mysterious and difficult disease to treat.

Because of the late diagnosis, Blaine's symptoms are considered chronic and will require a treatment beyond that of a primary care physician.
Most specialists do not except health incsurance since Chronic Lyme is not recognized by the CDC and anti-biotics alone often fail to provide a cure. What's needed is a more wholistic approach to healing that will combine several therapy options into one that is right for Blaine.

Unfortunately, due to the physical disability over the past eight months, Blaine has not been able to make pots and market Avery Pottery and Tile Works to maintain his career while being a single father to his 11 year old son. If your not familiar with Blaine or his work learn more about him at: http://averypotteryandtileworks.blogspot.com/

Blaine is actively searching for the best Lyme literate specialist in our area but is also open to travel. Since the disease is already established in his body, he's in a lot of discomfort and the urgency of starting the treatment is imperitive.

I know Blaine well and I can say this type of fundraising is a tough step for him. He would appreciate any amount one could offer and it could be the difference between his being able to keep his home and business while treating this illness.

Wishing love and peace in your own lives, and a million thank yous from Blaine and myself (Kim!!).
